ROWA Pharmaceuticals Ltd, is an innovative pharmaceutical company of German origin, which was established in Ireland in 1959.

Bantry Hospice Project:

Rowa has a very special relationship with Bantry Hospice Project. Formed in 2008, a total of over €1 million has been collected for the project. Hospice care has assisted many people at their most vulnerable and the facility in Bantry enables people to remain close to their family and friends. Mrs Wagner is a member of the projects committee. 

Matt Kingston Scholarship:

Rowa sponsors the “Matt Kingston Award” whereby a Leaving Certificate student in Bantry is awarded a €5,000 bursary to aid in their 3rd level education.

Supporting Local G.A.A clubs:

Rowa sponsors local GAA teams with jerseys and kits

Derek McCoy Medal: 

The “ Dr. Derek McCoy Medal” is awarded to a UCC Medical Doctor on placement in Bantry, this is in memory of a well regarded consultant, Dr. Derek McCoy.

St. Vincent Depaul:

Rowa makes an annual donation to St Vincent DePaul each year as well as other local charities.

Co-Action/Youthreach/National Learning Network:

Rowa supports local agencies that work closely with adults with special needs, teenagers looking for alternative education pathways as well as young adults with learning difficulties. 


This support comes in the form of work experience on-site in Rowa.
